Local and State Report Cards

Forty states, D.C., and Puerto Rico have published Infrastructure Report Cards in recent years, providing knowledge to state and local leaders who have made planning, investment, and regulatory decisions impacting transportation, water, and other infrastructure.

You can access your state’s infrastructure report card at infrastructurereportcard.org/state-by-state-infrastructure

State report cards assess their state’s infrastructure based on the same eight criteria as the national report card, providing a localized assessment of the state’s infrastructure performance, key challenges that the state faces, and recommendations to raise the grade. However, not all state report cards assess the 18 categories included in the National Report Card.

Communities can use their state report cards to learn more about infrastructure systems in their state, including key challenges and recommendations to raise the grade. Communities can use this as a resource to encourage their elected officials to make investments and enact policies to improve their infrastructure.
